Come Together is a song created by the English rock group The Beatles. The song was recorded in 1969 and was released October 6 1969. The song is credited to Lennon-McCartney but was primarily written by Lennon who was commissioned to write a campaign song for political activist Timothy Leary. Lennon ended up repurposing the song for The Beatles. The song had great chart success and stands today as one of The Beatles' most iconic songs.
